Dr. Andrés Pacheco Pagès of the Institut de Fisica d’ Altes Energies (IFAE) was ranked in the top three scientists in Spain (ranked by h-index on google scholar) in a report created by the Ranking Web of Universities in December 2016.
The list consists of the top 23 578 profiles (out of 37 819) ranked by h-index in decreasing order. The h-index is a metric that measures both the productivity of an author as well as the impact of his/her publications. It incorporates a researcher’s most cited papers and the number of citations their other publications have gained.
Andrés Pacheco Pagès had an h-index of 151 and a total of 125 104 citations overall, putting him in third place of scientists in Spain.
