Four researchers working at BIST centres were awarded prestigious European Research Council (ERC) Advanced Grants last week.
The European Research Council (ERC) announced the winners of the prestigious ERC Advanced Grants last week. Among the winners are four researchers working at the centres of the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST):
Salvador Aznar Benitah of the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) for his project entitled “Dietary Influences on Metastasis: How, When, and Why”
Jens Biegert of The Institute of Photonic Science (ICFO) for his project entitled “Structural transformations and phase transitions
in real-time”
Javier Garcia de Abajo of The Institute of Photonic Science (ICFO) for his project entitled “Free Electrons As Ultrafast Nanoscale Probes”
María García-Parajo of The Institute of Photonic Science (ICFO) for her project entitled “Membrane-based nano-mechanobiology: Role
of mechanical forces in remodelling the spatiotemporal nanoarchitecture of the plasma membrane”
