Three BIST researchers receive Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry Awards

Arjan W. Kleij (ICIQ) and Daniel Maspoch Comamala (ICN2) have received the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (RSEQ) Awards for Research Excellence, and Mónica H. Pérez Temprano (ICIQ) has received the RSEQ Young Investigator Award for Group Leaders.

The Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (Real Sociedad Española de Química) announced the winners of several awards this month, which included three members of the BIST Community, from the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) and the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2). The call included six different categories: RSEQ Medal, Distinguished Career, Research Excellence, Young Researchers, International Award, and Educational and Outreach Activities Award for teachers.

ICREA Prof. Daniel Maspoch, Leader of the ICN2 Sumpramolecular Nanochemistry and Materials Group, and ICREA Prof. Arjan W. KleijLeader of the ICIQ Small Molecule Activation, Catalysis and Valorization Group, have both won in the Research Excellence category.

Dr. Mónica H. Pérez-Temprano, Leader of the ICIQ Development of New Chemical Transformations: From organometallic Mechanistic Studies to Catalysis Group, has won in the Young Investigator (Group Leader) category.

BIST congratulates all three awardees on the well-deserved achievements.
