The Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology launched the To the Mothers of Science Programme on February 11, 2018 – the 2018 International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
This year, 12 scientists (two more than the originally planned 10) received the grant and 19 (the 12 winners plus seven finalists) participated in a series of group and individual coaching sessions run by professional coach Victoria Conesa from Onbalance.
The winners of this inaugural edition are exceptional scientists with the ambition and potential to reach higher positions in research. They perform cutting-edge studies in their respective fields and fulfil parenting responsibilities at the same time. BIST aims to support these scientists as they transition to leading positions.
