The BIST PhD Fellowship Programme was launched in 2016 as a pioneering initiative with eight international PhD fellows selected for their excellence and high potential. The fellows are now working in multidisciplinary research at one of the six participating BIST research centres:
Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG)
The Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO)
Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ)
Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2)
Institute for High Energy Physics (IFAE)
Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona)
Students work in an exciting international and collaborative scientific environment, which includes broad range of research disciplines and core facilities, technological courses, personal skills training and career development services.
The programme was superseded by the PREBIST Programme in 2017, funded through the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under a Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant. More information about the PREBIST Programme can be found here.
