The centres that make up BIST have founded 60 spin-offs, 48 of which are considered active companies (as of July 2026). This includes companies that continue to operate independently, as well as those that have been acquired or merged with another company.
The five-year survival rate of BIST Community spin-offs is 93.5%, well above the EU average of 60–80%, according to the report Driving Innovation across the EU-27 (2025).
At the end of 2025, more than 600 people were employed by active BIST Community spin-offs, excluding companies that had been acquired.
Collectively, BIST spin-offs have raised more than €411 million in public and private funding while they were part of the BIST Community’s spin-off portfolio.
