The Barcelona Chamber of Commerce and the Impulsa Talentum Foundation awarded Professor Andreu Mas-Colell, President of the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST), the 2021 Premi d’Honor Benvingut Talent this week to recognise his research contributions in Catalonia.
The award is given within the framework of the Chamber’s Talent Awards to Professor Andreu Mas-Colell for his contributions to research in Catalonia and the creation of research centers in various fields including photonics, genomics, nanoscience, bioengineering, biomedicine, and chemistry.
This award recognises those who have supported knowledge production, creativity, and talent in Catalonia. In previoust years, the award has gone to John Hoffman, CEO of the GSMA, and to Luca de Meo when he was president of SEAT.
