In recent years we are witnessing a constantly growing interest in understanding thermodynamic phenomena at the quantum scale. Novel fundamental questions arise, such as: how do the laws of thermodynamics emerge in this regime? How are thermodynamic processes affected by the presence of quantum coherences and entanglement? Quantum thermodynamics is also relevant for the design of quantum information technologies and for our understanding of many-body quantum systems.
QTD 2020 is the annual conference on quantum thermodynamics
