Organized by ICONS, ICFO Organization and Network for Students
For some years now, June has been known as the LGBTQ+ Pride Month. This is commemorating the Stonewall Riots in June 1969 that started an LGBTQ+ rights movement. Pride month is internationally celebrated with marches, exhibitions, parades and festivals, but clearly this year things are a bit different.
However, we believe this is a good opportunity to reflect on where we are standing in this respect. For this reason, ICONS, the OSA student chapter of ICFO, have organized an open conversation about LGBTQ+ inclusion at ICFO.
The event is intended to point out the importance of visibility, diversity and inclusion in our community.
