Abstract: Dr. Carolina Aguilar is the CEO of the ICN2 spinoff InBrain Neuroelectronics, a company making fast advances in the field of therapies for neural diseases such as Parkinson´s and Epilepsy. She will share with us her transition from science to technology, industry and lately venturing; and her plans to contribute to the medicine of the future. This is a unique opportunity to hear a world leader in medical technology tell her story, recall her collaboration with ICN2 researchers and answer questions on transitioning form science to industry.
Biography: Carolina Aguilar graduated with a PhD in Pharmacy from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and received post-graduate degree for Wharton School of Business, Virginia Polytechnic University, MIT´s Sloan School of Business and IESE. She was a Director for Medtronic, one of the largest conglomerates in medical technologies. Since 2019, she is the CEO of the ICN2 spinoff InBrain Neuroelectronics (https://www.inbrain-neuroelectronics.com/).
