MATTER™ 2021 will be the convening grounds of global vision, dialogue and action that will spark a new paradigm in enabling Frontier and Advanced Materials to solve some of humanity’s most immediate challenges.
The 2-Day event will bring together thought leaders, policy makers, scientists, business and government delegates, diplomatic liaisons and civil societies to develop a shared vision for Material Science responding to complex, multi scale challenges of global magnitude.
Gabby Silberman, director general of BIST, and Frank Koppens, ICREA Research Professor at the BIST centre ICFO, will participate as a speakers in this event. More specifically, Dr. Koppens will take part in the roundtable Frontier Materials, Sustainable cities, Future of Mobility, How Do We Get There?, within the track City and Society, and Dr. Silberman will participate in the debat Getting There Fast… Together, within the nexus Connecting the Dots.
The programme includes other relevant speakers representing the policy, business and science fields, such as Ms. Alba Vergés, Minister of Health of the Catalan Government, Sir Kostya Novoselov, Nobel Laureate in Physics (National University of Singapore), Ms. Ruth Hughes, Secretary of State, Texas (USA), and Mr. John Hoffman, CEO of GSMA, among others.
