International Day of Women and Girls in Science and International Women’s Day are two international events that have inspired ICFO to dedicate an entire month (February 11th – March 8th) to women in science with activities designed to allow us to contemplate and celebrate women’s accomplishments as well as examine the current reality for women pursing scientific careers.
Due to social distancing measures currently in place, this year’s activities will be held primarily online. While this will limit our ability to come together face to face, it has allowed us to confirm a fantastic agenda with speakers from all over the world who will offer insightful talks of interest to the entire community.
Mark the ICFOnians for Women in Science Month on your calendar and be sure to participate. By respecting and promoting diversity of cultures, origins, gender, age, professional backgrounds, sexual orientations, identities, and approaches to problems, ICFO seeks to cultivate a working environment that supports the advancement of complex scientific challenges through the contributions of our broad and inclusive community.
