The How to succeed in your PhD [II] course is a two-day residential course designed for 2nd year PhD students. It provides skills to make progress and be successful as a 2nd year PhD student by learning how to manage research and reinforce the participants capacity to work efficiently as a team.
The course will include opportunities for students to learn how to
- Manage stress and build resilience
- Manage your project utilising aspects of agile theory
- Communicate effectively
- Resolve conflict
Participants will also consider innovate and creative solutions to problems they are facing through discussion with expert tutors and fellow students.
