The ANDI challenge aims at improving our understanding of anomalous diffusion, by enhancing the current single trajectory characterization techniques. The goal is not only to find the best method for each of the proposed task, but also to create awareness on the problem at hand and explore all possible approaches that are either being developed or already exist.
In this talk, which is in between a seminar and a hands on session, I will show how easy it is to participate in the challenge, from accessing the data, exploring it, making predictions and finally submitting the results.
I will showcase two different approaches for single trajectory characterization: the ‘good old’ fitting algorithms and the novel Machine Learning approaches.
