The Global University Network for Innovation (GUNi) and the DECODE Project are very pleased to invite you to the upcoming webinar “Embedding sustainability in academia: Deans as change makers” that will be held on Thursday 13th of January 2022 at 15:00 CET.
Funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ Program KA2, the DECODE project (European Deans Council for Designing Sustainability Impact Roadmaps) aims at fostering the institutionalization of Sustainable Development (SD) in university departments to spearhead their contributions to sustainability, which are key in addressing challenges in European societies, industries and economies.
In this webinar, Prof. Daniella Tilbury (Commissioner for Sustainable Development and Future Generations, Her Majesty’s Government of Gibraltar) will deliver a presentation as a guest speaker. Prof. Tilbury is an educator, policy expert and academic leader in sustainable development credited with having developed the initial frameworks for higher education in this field.
We will also explore the results of the Intellectual Output 1 (IO1) of the project, which has the aim to shed more light on the question of how deans can embed sustainability and attention for sustainable development in their department’s education, research, and societal engagement portfolio.
