Seminar by Prof. John F. Bower from the University of Liverpool (United Kingdom)
Abstract
Our group develops new catalysis platforms that enable the efficient generation of chiral building blocks and heterocyclic scaffolds. Current priority areas include: (i) the development of catalytic C-C bond activation processes and associated cycloadditions, (ii) the development of aza-Heck reactions, and (iii) the development of enantioselective alkene hydroarylation reactions. Selected recent highlights of our activities in N-heterocyclic chemistry will be presented.
