Data Diplomacy and the Future of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework

The European Commission recently announced a draft decision on the EU-US data privacy framework, paving the way for a potential data transfer deal to be adopted next year. The new pact, however, still needs the approval by European lawmakers and a panel of EU privacy watchdogs. Resolving that schism remains the key sticking point for transatlantic data transfers. This webinar will explore the main interplays between data and diplomacy: how data shapes digital geopolitics; how data governance is a key topic on the contemporary diplomatic agenda and how data is emerging as a tool in diplomacy and international affairs.
