The Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) will be holding a Round Table on the topic of Empowering Women in Science within the BIST Community on November 28th from 13h to 17h at the Centre Civic Urgell (C/Urgell 145, 08036 Barcelona) in Barcelona.

The purpose of this event is to gain some insight into what the needs of the BIST research centres are in terms of programs for supporting women in science as well as to learn about existing initiatives and success stories within the BIST community. Topics discussed at the round table will serve as starting off points for developing a program to support women scientists in the BIST community.

The program includes a round-table event moderated by Pastora Martinez, (Vice President for Globalization and Cooperation, Universitat Oberta de Catalunya) and a panel of seven prominent speakers from within the BIST Community.
