Dr. Zoila Babot has been designated as the new Head of Communications and Branding of the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology, with effect from March 17. She will take over the leadership of the Communications Office from Adela Farré.
The new Head of Communications comes from the Centre for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG), where she has been leading the Communication and Open Science Office since early 2016. Previously, she had also been in charge of the communication at the Centre of Regenerative Medicine in Barcelona (CMRB).
Zoila Babot holds a PhD in Biochemistry and a Master of Scientific and Medical Communication. She has extensive experience in the research sector, including a five year post-doctorate at the Salk Institute (La Jolla, CA, USA) and experience in the biotechnological private sector.
Her professional background in life science research and her broad perspective of the R&D ecosystem would be a key asset to design and lead BIST’s communication and marketing strategies. We are very satisfied to integrate Zoila as the new member of the BIST team. Welcome on board!
