The Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) is teaming up with the Fundació Catalana per a la Recerca i la Innovació (FCRi) to organize the second edition of “100tífiques”, an event that will send over 100 women scientists to schools all over Catalonia.
The 100tífiques event will send over one hundred women scientists (Master’s, PhD students, Post-Docs, Group Leaders, and Scientific Staff) to give talks and inspire children at schools all over Catalonia on February 11th, 2020, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. These talks will be aimed at an audience aged 11-12 years old and will be available via streaming to anyone interested. About 15,000 young people are expected to be reached through these talks!
We are also preparing a lead-up event in January where all speakers will get the chance to meet each other and start preparing the talks they will give on February 11th.
If you are interested in participating, please get in contact with the representative at your BIST centre for any questions, and fill out the 100tífiques 2020 registration form by December 5th, 2019.
All female researchers and scientific staff at the BIST centres are encouraged to register and we look forward to working with you to make this year’s 100tifiques event a huge success!
