The 2019 BIST Conference will take place on November 7, 2019 at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB).
The programme of this year’s full-day conference will include paralell workshops of two hours each, during the afternoon. BIST is now looking for proposals for the content of these workshops, which could be anything related to science, technology, and/or the skills and knowledge important to scientists or staff of scientific institutes. All proposals that are accepted by BIST must also be organized by those proposing it, which will include organizing the workshop’s programme and contacting the speaker(s). BIST will take care of traveling and accommodation expenses within reason (one international speaker per workshop) and take care of the space and catering arrangements at the CCCB.
Proposals should be sent to research@bist.eu by May 2, 2019 and should include the following information:
- Your contact details
- A brief description of your proposed workshop, including the target audience and expected impact
- A proposed programme and speaker(s).
- Information of whether or not the speaker has already been contacted and, if they have, whether they are available on November 7, 2019, should the proposed workshop be accepted
