Call for applications: d·HEALTH Barcelona offers 50% paid tuition to BIST members

The Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) and Biocat are offering two spots in the Biocat d·HEALTH Barcelona programme at half the usual tuition cost to people in the BIST community. The nine-month programme aims to train future entrepreneurs and healthcare innovators.

Design Health Barcelona (d·HEALTH Barcelona) is a postgraduate programme inspired by Stanford University’s prestigious Biodesign Fellowship. It has a needs-driven innovation focus and will guide multidisciplinary groups of participants through a full cycle of innovation, from needs identification to designing and prototyping a viable solution, to searching for funding.

“Probably the best healthcare innovation accelerator in Europe” according to Health Startup Europe, the programme collaborates with Hospital Clínic, Hospital Sant Joan de Déu, Vall d’Hebron Barcelona Hospital Campus, Institut Guttmann and Hospital Can Ruti, and is beginning its seventh edition in January 2020.

d·HEALTH Barcelona is part of the Innovation Fellowships programme of EIT Health, a major European health consortium that gives its fellows opportunities for international mobility and to be part of the extensive European EIT Alumni network after finishing the programme.

Ninety-five pecent of of d·HEALTH alumni have found positions within the healthcare sector upon graduating and one in three have their own business project.
