BIST collaborating with Banc Sabadell to deliver ‘Banc Sabadell Foundation Prize for Sciences and Engineering’

The Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology is collaborating with the Banc Sabadell Foundation, a member of the BIST board of trustees, to deliver this year’s Banc Sabadell Foundation Prize for Sciences and Engineering.

The prize has been newly launched this year with the aim of encouraging and rewarding excellent work in the field of sciences and engineering by Spanish researchers.

A financial reward of 50,000 euros will be presented to the winner.

The jury, led by Andreu Mas-Colell, Chair of the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology, will publicly announce the prize results during the month of May.

Prize details:

In order to be eligible, researchers must have an outstanding career in the field of sciences and engineering, must be under the age of 43, and must have spent at least three years doing research within the field in Spain (whether as Spanish or foreign nationals).

Nominations must be made by people connected with a university, hospital, or research centre and must be submitted online by March 31st.
