The 14th edition of the City Science Festival (‘Festa de la Ciència’) will take place on June 13 as part of the 2021 City and Science Biennial (‘Biennal Ciutat i Ciència’). Several BIST centres will participate in this massive outreach initiative.

This year’s Festa de la Ciència will include workshops, demonstrations, micro-talks, guided tours, and shows for children, youth, and adults, and will take place at Barcelona’s Maritime Front on June 13 from 10:00h to 21:30h. The festival is organised by the Barcelona City Council and will include participation from 95 institutions including universities, research centres, companies, and industry professionals, who will present a total of 121 activities across all fields of science. For the first time this year, the event falls within the umbrella of the 2021 City and Science Biennial, a massive event that aims to bring scientific knowledge closer to the public.

The BIST centres will be running several activities at the City Science Festival, including the following.
