BIST researchers receive 2018 ERC Proof of Concept Grants

Four researchers working at BIST centres have been awarded the prestigious 2018 European Research Council (ERC) Proof of Concept Grants this week.

The European Research Council (ERC) announced the 2018 winners of the prestigious ERC Starting Grants this week. Among the winners were four researchers working at two centres of the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST):

Luis Serrano of the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) for his project entitled “Bacterial chassis for treating ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP)”

Angel R. Nebreda of the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) for his project entited “Innovative therapeutic tools to ameliorate chemotherapy-induced cardiotoxicity”

Eduard Batlle of the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) for his project entited “Colorectal Cancer Mouse Tumor Organoids as Pre-clinical Models for Therapeutical Testing”

Miguel Beato del Rosal of the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) for his project entited “Improved Patient Care by Combinatorial Treatment”
